Product Desk

Product Desk

Product Desk is Strabo's industry leading Product Information Management (PIM) system. It is built to help you manage your product data efficiently. Our PIM can integrate seamlessly with your ecommerce platform to feed product details, digital assets and fitment information to power a Year, Make, Model search!

ACES PIES monthly data updates

ACES PIES Monthly Data Updates

When working in the auto industry, it is important to know about both ACES and PIES.

PIES (Product Information Exchange Standard) was developed by the Auto Care Association, and it’s used by the entire North American automotive aftermarket community. PIES helps define general product information such as pricing information, product attributes, image/digital asset information, kit information and much more! PIES supports over 180 data elements. However, the PIES standard doesn’t support vehicle fitment.

ACES (aftermarket catalog exchange standard) helps simplify vehicle fitment. It’s used for fitment on light, medium, heavy-duty and powersports vehicles. This information powers the year, make and model search on the website.

If you’re an auto parts distributor who receives your first ACES file or PIES file and don’t know what to do next, get in touch with us! We’ll work with you to convert the data into a format that can be used on your site. Strabo can create these files from the ground up or update and export them for reseller consumption.

VCdb Validation

VCdb Validation

Strabo can help users load their VCdb into Product Desk to validate their fitment rules and ACES files against. Does your company works outside of the AutoCare standards? We also offer the ability to load custom vehicle databases into Product Desk that will allow for manual fitment to be validated against.

Choosing the Right Platform

One of the most crucial steps in your ecommerce journey is choosing the right platform. Strabo is a strategic partner with BigCommerce and DynamicWeb. We also have a wealth of experience with Shopify. Choosing one of these platforms means you’ll have the best overall experience and a scalable business for your store. We also provide direct support in all of our products to help you sell on eBay and/or Amazon.

DynamicWeb

DynamicWeb

DynamicWeb is an all-in-one eCommerce Suite for B2B and B2C sellers that includes eCommerce, Content Management (CMS), Product Information Management (PIM) and Digital Marketing tools.

Businesses are trying to scale their digital presence quickly and eCommerce solutions have saturated the market. Before rushing to an entry-level solution, it is vital that companies think holistically about long-term goals and their customers’ buying requirements. An eCommerce strategy typically requires key elements as companies scale, like efficient product management, automated email marketing and multichannel selling.

DynamicWebs competitive advantages help set companies up for scalable eCommerce growth:

  • Advanced B2B capabilities: B2B customers prefer to purchase online but their requirements often exceed traditional retail eCommerce. DynamicWeb provides advanced features and customizable self-service portals to support even the most complex B2B business processes online, like quotes and paying by invoice.
  • Customizations and upgrade-friendly integration: DynamicWeb is 100% customizable and integrated with back-end systems via the flexible API. Because this solution is not embedded inside of the ERP system, customizations, upgrades and migrations for both eCommerce and ERP are faster and easier.
  • Leveraged ERP & CRM data: Utilizing the information directly from ERP or CRM, DynamicWeb enables both real-time and batch integration with virtually any data point in back-end systems. Critical data like inventory, sales orders, customer details and more flow seamlessly to and from the website.

BigCommerce

BigCommerce

BigCommerce is a leading cloud-based ecommerce platform offering robust enterprise level functionality surrounded by a strong app ecosystem. With BigCommerce Enterprise, automotive ecommerce customers are able to add their entire catalog of car parts, etc., with speed and accuracy. Many BigCommerce customers in the automotive industry have very large SKU counts that are handled with ease.

BigCommerce has strengths in both B2B and B2C spaces. The robust B2B functionality allows for complex pricing to be addressed with ease, handling wholesaler, MAP pricing, or jobber. BigCommerce offers multistore front solutions for different brands and different user experiences as necessary. In addition to these great features, BigCommerce offers “Buy Online, Pickup In Store” functionality to give the customer even greater flexibility to buy online and pickup offline. For businesses selling products with a CORE, BigCommerce has CORE return workflows to help capture and collect CORE fees.
